Hello
We are a music blog written currently by Stephen and Derek. We both love music, and it plays a very major and important role in our lives. We have also both developed superiority complexes about our musical tastes, and this will be our outlet by which we rub in our elitist attitudes in your faces.
Just kidding. We love music, we love people. Come on in and check us out, read our reviews, and if you agree, or especially if you disagree, leave a comment! If you want to suggest an album for us to review, or if you have further questions or comments to make involving this site, please feel free to contact either of us.

Stephen is currently a philosophy major at the University of California, Riverside, where he struggles to get by and obtain a GPA high enough to justify the inordinate amount of money going into the classes he must take. On the side, he is trying to gain momentum and get into professional photography on top of his more artistically driven work.
He grew up taking piano lessons from the age of five until he was eighteen. This is how he knows anything more than the average listener, as learning theory and a fundamental understanding of music in general was a must. From there, he studied music history focused in the western classical tradition at university briefly, before stopping because he really, really, really does not possess the diligence to study more than one thing at once.
While his tastes in music are rooted in metal and progressive, he has begun branching out recently, getting back into the western classical music he grew up on, the rock, pop and alternative he’d been missing out on, the indie with its own charms, and so on and so forth. Lately he has been particularly interested in the rock and metal scene in Korea and Japan, as well as technical death metal, doom metal, and as always, progressive and progressive metal bands. As an after-the-fact disclaimer, as always, remember that Stephen’s tastes in music are his and his alone. He will never seriously claim that his tastes are objectively superior to anyone else’s…though they probably are.
